"La Casa de Campo" is the name of a forest in the middle of the city. It's an island full of "shipwrecked" people and tourists. It's a great place to go when you are looking for nothing in particular, and find things that you didn't know you were looking for. You can meet your cousin or His Majesty on his motorbike, stopping to help the driver of a broken-down car. It's absolutely horrible, yet beautiful. It's my favourite place to snap photos. It's a place for the fierce and for attractions. It's unpredictable. It is a Republican park, and there's a hill where they say the souls of the people from Madrid rise up to heaven when they die. It's a perfect place in Madrid to try to find hyper-realistic, magical fairy-tales.
