El barrio valenciano del Cabanyal no es ni grande ni pequeño, ni rico ni pobre; esta justo en el medio. Molesto para unos y precioso para otros; incomparable. Una tierra bañada por el salitre y el fértil humus del Túria, y que se quiere convertir en una avenida que nunca fue necesaria, que cambiaran la luz del Mediterráneo por la de los kilowatios de farolas y faros de automóvil.

Un barrio amenazado y preocupado por su propio futuro, por gestiones poderosas alejadas de sus decisiones propias. Una existencia interior de constante lucha por su dignidad, sus raíces.
